Australian Championships 27 January 2006 Peter-Johnston Latest News The 2006 Telstra Australian Swimming Championships begin at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Monday. The Championships will feature Australia's golden girls from last year's World Championships – Jodie Henry, Libby Lenton, Alice Mills, Leisel Jones, Giaan Rooney, Jessicah Schipper and host of emerging new stars along with the return of Ian Thorpe. The Championships will be held from January 30th to February 3 and will double as the selection trials for the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2006 Pan Pacific Championships teams.
