17 Medals at State Masters 08 November 2011 Peter-Johnston Latest News Merrylands' Masters team returned from the recent NSW State Masters Short Course Championships in Canberra with State Champions in six events, and seventeen medals in total, from the eighteen events contested. Brittany Johnson won all three of her events, taking home gold medals in the 18-24yrs 100m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke and 200m Individual Medley. Peter Johnston also took home three gold medals with first place in the 30-34yrs 200m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke. Peter also won two silver medals in the 50m Breaststroke and 200m Freestyle. Alison Sakurovs was our third medallist at the meet with a silver in the 25-29yrs 100m Butterfly and bronze medals in the 100m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle. Ian Wilson finished the meet with four medals with silver in the 45-49yrs 100m Individual Medley and bronze in the 200m Individual Medley, 50m Backstroke and 100m Backstroke.
