Merrylands has 13 swimmers competing at the 2019 Metro South West Area Short Course Championships. The Championships will be held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th June, 2019.

The final day of the Nationals saw Merrylands win another 4 medals and swim 3 new personal best times.
Alison Johnston finished the meet with another 2 medals, starting the day with Gold in the 50m Backstroke and then taking Silver in the 100m Freestyle in a season best time.
Steven Nguyen also won two more medals with Silver in the 400m Freestyle and Bronze in the 100m Freestyle.
Kylee Murray finished off her meet with another 2 personal best times in the 400m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke, while Melissa Cohen also swam a new PB in the 400m Freestyle.

Merrylands has finished Day 3 of the Nationals with 4 more medals and 3 PBs.
Alison Johnston continued to add to her medal tally, with Gold in the 400m Individual Medley and Silver medals in both the 50m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke. Alison also swam a personal best time in the 100m Backstroke.
Steven Nguyen also added another medal to his count, with Gold in the 200m Breaststroke.
Melissa Cohen swam a new PB in her 50m Freestyle, while Kylee Murray swam a new PB in her 100m Backstroke.
Day 4 tomorrow - the final day in the pool - will see members of our team competing in the 400m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 200m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle.
Day 2 of the Nationals saw another 5 medals for Merrylands, plus 2 new PBs.
Steven Nguyen finished the day with 3 medals - Gold in the 50m Breaststroke, and Silver in the 200m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley.
Alison Johnston took home our other 2 medals with Silver in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Individual Medley.
Melissa Cohen swam new PBs in both her events with new personal best times in the 50m Breaststroke and 200m Freestyle
Day 3 will see our team in action in the 200m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 400m Individual Medley and 100m Backstroke.
A fantastic start to the Australian Masters Championships with 5 medals and 3 new PBs on Day 1 at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Adelaide.
Steven Nguyen took home 2 medals with Gold in the 100m Breaststroke and Silver in the 50m Butterfly.
Alison Johnston also won 2 medals. Alison finished with Silver and a new personal best time in the 200m Backstroke, and Bronze in the 50m Butterfly, in her second fastest time ever.
Kylee Murray won her first national medal, finishing with Bronze in the 200m Backstroke in a new PB. Kylee also swam a new PB in her 50m Butterfly.
Day 2 tomorrow will see our team hit the water in the 100m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke, 200m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley.

Reece Tomkinson finished with a Bronze medal in the 17yrs & Over 50m Backstroke and was also a finalist in the Open 100m Backstroke and 17yrs & Over 50m Freestyle.
Alison Johnston was a finalist 5 events, finishing in the top 10 in the 17yrs & Over 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly and Open 100m Freestyle. Alison also swam 2 new personal best times, with PBs in the 50m Backstroke and 50m Breaststroke.
Steven Nguyen was a finalist in the 17yrs & Over 50m Freestyle, while Michael Evans swam new personal best times in the 100m Breaststroke and 100m Backstroke.

Due to changes in the Swimming NSW calendar for this season, Area, Metropolitan and State Championships have been split into separate streams, with the Senior Championships held in the first half of the summer, and Junior Championships in the second half of the summer.
