GoSwim at Merrylands Pool

On Saturday, 6th October you are invited to join Merrylands Swimming Club for some fun at our EnergyAustralia GOSwim Day.

The day will give locals the chance to engage with their swimming community through organised activities.

From 9am new and existing club members are invited to Merrylands Swimming Centre to enjoy a barbecue and have a go at our ‘come and try’ events and novelty races.

Non-members can get a feel for the club atmosphere at their local pool, socialise with existing members and experience the team environment of a swim club.

GO Swim ambassador and five time Olympic medallist Alicia Coutts said being involved in a positive club environment is vital to swimming success.

“Being a part of a local swim club is a great way to make new friends and the EnergyAustralia GOSwim Days bring together like-minded people in an enjoyable and welcoming environment,” she said.

Olympian and fellow GO Swim ambassador James Magnussen agreed, adding that his journey to the top of world started from humble beginning at his local swim club in country NSW.

“Club swimming is where it all started for me getting involved in and EnergyAustralia GO Swim Day is a great way to experience what this great sport has to offer,” he said
